Tomasz Stańczak

Tomasz Stańczak is the co-founder of Nethermind and, since early 2024, the Co-Executive Director of the Ethereum Foundation alongside Aya Miyaguchi. His appointment to the Foundation's executive leadership came as Ethereum prepared for the most complex phase of its technical roadmap — the transition toward Verkle Trees, enshrined PBS, and the eventual implementation of statelessness.

Nethermind began as a research project exploring .NET-based Ethereum client implementations, motivated by Stańczak's belief that Ethereum's security depended on having multiple independent client implementations written in different programming languages.
