Points Farming
Actively using a pre-token protocol to accumulate off-chain or on-chain points that may later convert into an airdrop allocation. Also searched as points meta or points grinding. Unlike classic liquidity mining with live token emissions, points farming is speculative: rules can change, and there is no guaranteed conversion rate. Closely related to airdrop farming and points systems.

How Points Farming works in practice
Points farming is airdrop farming aimed at explicit points programmes. The points are visible, which makes the activity measurable, and they remain a promise rather than an entitlement.
Worked example
A protocol awards points per dollar per day. Users move capital between protocols chasing the highest points rate, often leaving as soon as a distribution is announced.
Figures are illustrative and chosen to be checkable, not live market data.
The mistake that costs people money
Points have no guaranteed value and the conversion is set after your capital is committed. Meanwhile the underlying protocol risk is entirely real, and points do not compensate for a loss.
